🌞 Back by popular demand – The Picnic Party! 🌞

Join us Saturday August 30, 2025 at Kin Park / Departure Bay Beach from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

You know the vibe. Grab your picnic blanket, round up your crew, and meet us beachside for Zumba, live music, swimming, lawn games, and all the golden hour magic—on the grass and in the water.

We’ll be announcing our food vendor soon—bringing tasty eats that are perfect after a Zumba session or a swim.

The Picnic Party is by donation, with all funds raised directed to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation’s NRGH Employee Wellness Fund, supporting the health and well-being of our healthcare workers!

Expect an afternoon of Zumba, swimming, and lawn games—or just chill out on the grass and enjoy the music.

DJs from Island DJ Company—Astro & El Devine—will be spinning live beachside sets as the sun goes down. Let’s say farewell to summer in style!
